I've spend the last days brainstorming for ideas regarding some new adventures for the Doctor Who RPG. As I'm painfully aware that there's a games convention coming up, where I am scheduled to game master Doctor Who - but I hadn't had time yet to actually come up with a nice adventure. So, I collected ideas on a big A3-sheet and have just now finished sorting through them.
I am officially down to five episode-ideas now, and I feel that I am going to go with the first one.
Whom the Gods Destroy
Here, some player characters serve as a crew on the first human mission to Venus. The whole trip was already filled with problems, and things only get worse, as the Doctor and Martha appear. There's a saboteur on board and people start acting very strange indeed...
The Sontaran's Ploy
brings our intrepid travellers to a planet on the verge of destruction. Earthquakes rake the land and the local population has been thrown back into the Dark Ages. Fallen into the hands of a local warlord, the player characters learn that the planet might be nothing more but an unfortunate victim to a whole differnet war raging on above it's skies...
Suzaku's Fall
In warring states China, the PCs meet a group of vagrants who are fleeing from the local government. They are attacked, hunted, kidnapped, they escape, investigate and hear of a legend - and all of that in one day...
Out of the Dark
Fleeing from the Axis control, a newly awakened AI brings a Fifth Axis warship on course to a long abandoned Dyson Sphere at the edge of known space. The player characters are only some of the involuntary passengers on board. But the Sphere is not as abandoned as thought, and something is lurking in the dark...
The Great Conquest
North Africa during the conquests of Alexander the Great: While the PCs make the acquaintance of one of the most famous military leaders of mankind, they stumble onto a group of Egyptians conspiring against him - and using impressive alien technology to do so. It soon becomes clear that Alexander holds the key to an Ancient device that would finally end a century long conquest...
