Sail 2010 - Bremerhaven

Today, I visited the Sail 2010 in Bremerhaven. It's a really big international festival of tall ships - over 200 ships from 15 countries were participating, among them the most famous of the world. It was pretty impressive, even though the weather put quite a damper on the whole thing.

As promised, I made a few pictures. Nothing overly exiting, but it should give everyone a good impression of what went on in Bremerhaven this last weekend. I'm definitely looking forward to the next Sail (with will be in 2015).

The big black one is the Russian navy sail training ship Kusenstern.
The Swedish tall ship "Goetheborg".

The stern of the Polish navy sail training ship "Dar Mlodziezy".
The German Kogge "Roland von Bremen".
The German navy sail training ship "Gorch Fock".
The French schooner "Elegant" in a lock.
The German barque "Alexander von Humboldt".
Lots of ships in the old harbour.
The Italian navy training sail ship "Amerigo Vespucci". Now, that's a ship. O.O
The Amerigo Vespucci again.
The French schooner "La Recouvrance" in front of the Hotel Atlantic and the Klimahaus.
