It toook me three days and 8030 words to finish chapter 8 of Children of Discord, but it is finally done. This is officially the longest chapter of the book so far. *sigh*
But at least it brought my wordcount up to 49.210 - which means that there are only 790 words missing now. Pretty awesome if I may say so myself. ;-)
Favourite quote from chapter 8:
"There was a time once, when magic was as common as eating breakfast or baking bread. It was everywhere. And there were people around who used it all the time. It does not matter what they used it for," she warded of Colette's interjection, "the point is that they used magic. And in doing so, something changed. All those centuries of using magic unchecked and unrestricted had consequences for the world. Because magic always has repercussions, even if you can not see them right away."
